Who We Are

A Studio Built on
Purposeful Design

Maison K Interiors was founded in 2016 with a clear purpose: to bring the standard of international luxury design to Nigerian homes and businesses, without sacrificing the warmth and character that make our spaces uniquely African.

Over nearly a decade, we've completed over 180 projects across Lagos — from intimate Ikoyi apartments to expansive Banana Island villas, from boutique hotels to corporate headquarters. Each project has reinforced our founding belief: that beautiful design is a form of care.

We are a team of seven designers, project managers, and creative strategists who share an obsession with getting the details right — not just the visible ones, but the ones you feel.

Meet the Founder

Kanyin Shodipo

Creative Director & Principal Designer

Kanyin founded Maison K Interiors in 2016 after a decade working with leading design firms in London and Dubai. Raised in Lagos and educated internationally, she brings a perspective that is both globally literate and deeply rooted in Nigerian sensibility.

Her work has been featured in Vogue Living Africa, Architectural Digest Nigeria, and The Guardian's Style supplement. She lectures on contemporary African interiors at the Lagos Business School and mentors the next generation of Nigerian designers through her annual programme.

  • MA Interior Architecture — Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL London
  • BSc Architecture — University of Lagos (First Class Honours)
  • NCIDQ Certificate — National Council for Interior Design Qualification
  • BIID Member — British Institute of Interior Design
  • COREN-Registered — Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria
  • Certified Sustainable Design Professional (CSDP)
